Founded in 2010 as Hungary’s first Roma fashion studio, Romani Design was established with a social mission: to promote the social inclusion of Roma people through high-quality, handcrafted design products and through the worlds of fashion and applied arts.
Romani Design is internationally recognized as one of the first successful fashion brands to consciously represent Roma culture and its connection to Hungarian culture. The brand brings traditional Roma clothing heritage and its rich repertoire of motifs into a contemporary context.
As a leading presence in Hungary’s fashion and design scene, we place a strong emphasis on social responsibility. Through the work of the brand, Roma traditional dress heritage becomes more visible and accessible, highlighting its place within the cultural heritage of Hungary and the Carpathian Basin.
